Ground Seitan With Peas

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 eggs (organic)
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese (i used romano)
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas
  • 1 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 4 green onions (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons tamari soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 garlic cloves (pressed)
  • 16 ounces seitan (ground)

Recipe

  • 1 beat the eggs.
  • 2 grind the seitan up in a food processor until if resembles hamburger.
  • 3 mix the cheese, bread crumbs, green onion, tamari, mustard, sea salt and cloves together.
  • 4 add to the eggs and then add the egg mixture to the ground seitan. add the peas.
  • 5 mix well and saute the whole mixture in a non-stick saute pan until the seitan is lightly browned. you just want to make sure the eggs are cooked.
  • 6 if you want, you can use ground chicken in this.
  • 7 use on top of your favourite grain.
  • 8 bon appetit!
