Beef With Hot Sauce

Ingredients

- 3 lbs chuck roast
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
- water
- 1 1/2 cups catsup
- 3 tablespoons hot taco sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 8 hamburger buns
Recipe
- 1 place meat, onion, celery and green pepper in dutch oven; cover with water.
- 2 cover tightly and cook slowly 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until tender.
- 3 remove meat; cool, shred and return to cooking liquid.
- 4 add catsup, taco sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, bay leaf, salt, mustard and chili powder.
- 5 cook slowly 1 hour.
- 6 remove bay leaf; serve on buns.
