Chickpea Burgers

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 potato, boiled
  • 1 1/2 cups chickpeas, cooked
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh coriander, chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • flour
  • olive oil
  • lemon slices (optional) or lime slice (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 peel and mash the boiled potato with the chickpeas.
  • 2 combine with onion, garlic, oregano, parsley, coriander, salt and pepper.
  • 3 add the egg and mix well.
  • 4 shape into burgers and dust with flour.
  • 5 fry in olive oil until nicely brown on both sides.
  • 6 serve with lemon or lime slices.
