Hamburger Steak With Onion Gravy

Ingredients

- 3 lbs hamburger meat
- 1 yellow med to large onion
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 dash ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1/3 cup milk
Recipe
- 1 chop onion
- 2 sautae onion in 1 t. of olive oil over medium high heat for about 5 mins.
- 3 add 3/4 of the onion, 1 t. worcestershire sauce, 1 egg, a dash of ground cumin and salt and pepper to the hamburger meat and mix well with hands.
- 4 form into 6 patties (oval shaped).
- 5 heat 1 t. spoon of olive oil to each batch of patties (3 patties per batch in pan).
- 6 add 3 patties to pan and cook for 4 - 5 mins on each side over med heat until browned and juices run clear.
- 7 drain 3/4 of the greace, leaving all the browned bits on bottom of pan.
- 8 add remaining sauted onions 1 t. soy sauce and 3 t. of corn starch to pan and let cook over med heat for 1 minute.
- 9 slowly wisk in 1 1/2 cup of beef broth and 1/3 cup of milk.
- 10 turn heat down to med low and wisk until thickened about 10 mins adding water if gets too thick.
- 11 add all the hamburger patties to the gravy and let it baste for about 15 mins before serving over low heat.
