Hamburger Stew

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 brown gravy mix
  • 15 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • 15 ounces water
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 carrots
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Recipe

  • 1 brown hamburger with chopped onion till done in dutch oven. drain very well (i run them under hot water in the sink). add brown gravey packets, tomatoes, and 1 tomato can's worth of water. stir well over medium heat. add chopped carrots and celery, along with worchestershire sauce and thyme. cook until carrots are tender, about a half hour. add peas, stirring till they are heated through.
