Honey Mustard Veggie Sloppy Not-joes

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup 1% low-fat milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons mustard
  • 3 1/2 honey
  • 5 tablespoons hamburger relish
  • 500 g yve's veggie ground round
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup mushroom, chopped
  • 1 cup tomato, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dill
  • 1/2 cup low-fat cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 whole wheat hamburger buns
  • 16 dill pickle slices
  • 2 cups lettuce leaves, shredded
  • 2 cups reduced-fat feta cheese

Recipe

  • 1 mix cold milk, corn starch, honey, and mustard in a med sauce pan, bring to a boil stirring continuously, then lower heat to med-low for 5 min, stirring occasionally. taste and adjust.
  • 2 saute onion and mushrooms in a little olive oil. when starting to colour add all but pickles, feta, lettuce and buns.
  • 3 heat through, taste and adjust, let cool slightly to thicken.
  • 4 serve on buns with pickles, feta, and lettuce.
