Bacon Cheeseburger Soup ( Paula Deen )

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6-7
  • 10 slices bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 2 lbs ground chuck (can use ground turkey)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 (32 ounce) box low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle relish
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • french-fried onions

Recipe

  • in a large dutch oven, cook bacon until crisp; remove from pan, and drain on paper towels.
  • add ground chuck, onion, and garlic; cook for 6 to 8 minutes, or until beef is browned and crumbly. drain well.
  • add chicken broth, tomatoes, soup, relish, bacon and worcestershire sauce.
  • cook for 10 to 15 minutes, or until soup is heated through. garnish with french-fried onions if desired.
