Chorizo Rellenos (baked Sausage Burgers With Peppers)

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 9 links chorizo sausage
- 2 poblano peppers, seeded and minced
- 2 cups tomato sauce, spanish style
- 2 tablespoons cilantro, minced
- 3 slices cheddar cheese, halved diagonally
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven 400°.
- 2 remove sausage from casings and shape into 6 burgers.
- 3 place a tablespoon or so of minced pepper in center of each burger and press into meat.
- 4 combine sauce and cilantro and spoon over burgers.
- 5 bake uncovered, basting occasionally, for 20-25 minutes, or until completely cooked.
- 6 place a piece of cheese on top of each burger just before serving.
