Chimichurri Burgers

Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons chimichurri seasoning mix (store-bought or dry chimichurri master mix/rub)
- 2 tablespoons hot tap water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons minced green onions
- 1 1/2 lbs 85% lean ground beef
- 1 cup shredded manchego cheese
- 4 hamburger buns, toasted
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 4 slices red onions
- 4 pieces leaves lettuce
Recipe
- 1 in small bowl, combine 2 tablespoon chimichurri seasoning mix and hot water. let stand 15 minutes to rehydrate.
- 2 stir in olive oil, lemon zest, garlic and green onion.
- 3 in mixing bowl, gently mix ground beef, chimichurri mixture and cheese. form into four burgers. arrange on hot grill and grill until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees f (6-8 minutes), turning once.
- 4 spread mayonnaise on toasted buns. arrange a burger on each bun bottom. top with onion slices and leaf lettuce.
