Everybody Loves Hamburger Stroganoff!

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (8 ounce) package medium noodles
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped fine
  • 1/2 lb mixed mushrooms, thickly sliced
  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup burgundy wine
  • 1 (8 ounce) can beef bouillon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Recipe

  • 1 cook noodles according to package directions and drain.
  • 2 in hot butter in large skillet, saute onion, garlic and mushrooms until onion is golden, about 5 minutes.
  • 3 add beef, stirring, until it is browned. remove from heat.
  • 4 stir in flour, tomato sauce, burgundy, bouillon, salt and pepper.
  • 5 simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 6 blend in sour cream.
  • 7 in lightly greased 2 quart casserole, layer a third of the noodles, then a third of the meat mixture. repeat twice.
  • 8 sprinkle with cheese. bake at 375 degrees uncovered 25 minutes.
