Hamburger Baskets

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 3/4 lb lean ground beef or 3/4 lb lamb
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon dried italian herb seasoning
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 (14 ounce) jar pre-prepared jar bolognaise pasta sauce
- 8 slices fresh bread, crusts removed
- 8 slices tomatoes
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
Recipe
- 1 in a wok or skillet brown the meat in the oil.
- 2 drain.
- 3 add the herbs, tomato paste and pasta sauce.
- 4 simmer gently for 20-30 minutes until thick.
- 5 line a large greased muffin tin with slices of the bread and fill with meat mixture top with a slice of tomato and some grated cheese.
- 6 bake at 350f for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- 7 *nice served with salad and potato wedges.
