Donut Burger

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 cups powdered sugar, plus more if needed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, plus more if needed
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 1/4 cup water, warmed to 110-115 degrees
  • 1 tablespoon water, warmed to 110-115 degrees
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons lard, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 2 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • vegetable oil or cooking spray, for the grill
  • 10 slices cheddar cheese, such as tillamook
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

Recipe

  • 1 for the glaze:.
  • 2 place all of the ingredients in the bowl of an electric mixer.
  • 3 starting slow, whip with the paddle attachment until smooth and lump-free and just slightly thicker than pouring consistency.
