Apple Bbq Pulled Lamb

Total Time: 8 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • one 3 pound boneless lamb loin roast
  • one 8-oz . can tomato sauce
  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce, store bought
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 1/2 granny smith apple, diced
  • 2 -3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 combine everything except the lamb in a 4 quart slow cooker.
  • 2 tie lamb together with cooking twine.
  • 3 place lamb in cooker and coat with sauce mix.
  • 4 cover and cook for 8-10 hours on low heat, turning lamb over once around hour 4 or 5.
  • 5 remove lamb and shred by hand.
  • 6 empty sauce from slow cooker into bowl and serve alongside lamb. serve on hamburger or hoagie buns if desired.
