Hamburger Casserole

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups hot mashed potatoes
  • 1 (9 ounce) package frozen cut green beans, thawed
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt (durkee brand)
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (2 7/8 ounce) can french-fried onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, if desired (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350.
  • 2 brown ground beef in skillet, drain.
  • 3 stir in thawed green beans, soup, water and seasonings: pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
  • 4 (spray with pam first, makes easier clean up) combine 1/2 of french fried onions with potatoes and spoon atop meat mixture.
  • 5 bake uncovered for 25 min or until heated through.
  • 6 top with cheese and remaining onions and bake an additional 5 min until cheese melts.
