Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

- 1 lb extra lean ground beef
- 23 ounces tomato sauce
- 12 ounces water
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons mustard
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup cold water
Recipe
- 1 in a skillet, brown hamburger; drain well.
- 2 combine remaining ingredients, except the cornstarch and 1/4 cup water, and stir into skillet, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer for 5 minutes.
- 3 thicken by slowly stirring in up to two 2 tablespoons of cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup of water. simmer a few minutes more.
- 4 serve over spaghetti.
