Ingredients

- 1/2 cup bacon, diced
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup celery, chopped
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 15 ounces red kidney beans (1 can)
- 30 ounces tomatoes (large can)
Recipe
- 1 cook bacon in a skillet until brown and crisp. add onions and celery. let simmer about 5 minutes.
- 2 combine seasonings with ground meat and add to vegetables. cook until slightly brown. add beans and tomatoes. simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 3 serve hot on hard rolls.
