Jenna's Mocha Chili

Ingredients

- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 lb hamburger
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounce) can whole canned tomatoes, undrained
- 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, undrained
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 jalapeno peppers, seeds removed, chopped
Recipe
- 1 brown the hamburger in a heavy bottomed pan, stirring frequently. add onion and garlic and saute until garlic is fragrant, about 30 seconds longer.
- 2 drain grease. mix all other ingredients together. simmer for 1 hour on the stove top or put into a slow cooker on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours.
- 3 serve with rice or over cornbread.
