Blue Cheese Sauce For Steaks, Burgers, And Chicken

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon wine or 1 tablespoon chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 dash pepper sauce

Recipe

  • 1 in a small saucepan, saute onion and garlic in butter until tender.
  • 2 sprinkle with flour; stir until blended.
  • 3 gradually add milk.
  • 4 bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  • 5 add blue cheese, wine or chicken broth, pepper and pepper sauce.
  • 6 heat through.
  • 7 serve sauce over meat.
