Grilled Portabella Mushroom Burger

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 4 -6 portabella mushroom caps
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 tablespoons italian seasoning (not dried italian dressing)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 -6 slices smoked gouda cheese
- sliced tomato (optional)
- lettuce (optional)
- roasted garlic mayonnaise (optional)
- hamburger bun
Recipe
- 1 place portabella mushroom caps, chopped garlic, italian seasoning and olive oil into a large sealable plastic bag.
- 2 shake to mix all ingredients and place in fridge for 30 minutes.
- 3 once 30 minutes has passed, grill mushroom caps on medium heat on either grill pan or skillet. *start with gills down. caps will only need to be grilled 2-3 minutes on each side, any more time and the caps will become mushy.
- 4 grill burger buns slightly and add mushroom cap. add cheese, veggies, condiments and enjoy!
