Grandma Peggys Hamburger Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef, browned and drained
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons brummel and brown spread
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (13 1/4 ounce) can mixed mushrooms, drained
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1 cup nonfat milk
  • 1 cup fat free sour cream
  • 1 cup reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 season ground beef with salt and pepper to taste.
  • 2 sautee onions in the brummel and brown spread until soft.
  • 3 dissolve bullion cube in the hot water. mix beef, onions, and water in 9x13 baking dish.
  • 4 add worcestershire, mushrooms, and flour to beef mixture. mix and spread evenly in pan.
  • 5 mix biscuit mix with milk and spread evenly over beef mixture.
  • 6 mix sour cream, cheese, and parsley and spread evenly over biscuit mixture.
  • 7 bake at 450 for 30 minutes or until biscuit is cooked through and golden brown.
