Homemade Soft Taco Shells

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients and beat until smooth.
  • 2 fry slowly on a griddle or in large frypan in small amounts of cooking oil. using a ladle, pour and swirl into a desired size circle. let fry until the top is dry, then flip for a minute or so to set the other side. if they turn out like crepes, make the shells thicker.
  • 3 fill with your favorite ingredients. we use seasoned hamburger, tomato, onion, lettuce, cheese, green peppers, olives.
